Sophie with Santa

On the Friday before Christmas, we all made the trek to the mall in Lexington so that Sophie could get her picture taken with Santa. We had tried before when we were in LaCrosse, but Santa was out to lunch, and then we all got sick, so we had to do it on the 22nd. Ugh! The line was long, but it went fairly quickly. Sophie didn't smile for the camera, but didn't start crying until they had snapped a couple of pictures--I think it took her a couple of minutes to figure out that she was sitting on some strange man's lap! They wouldn't let us take any pictures of our own, which was too bad because we don't have any of the traditional first-Christmas-screaming-in-Santa's-lap pictures.
