Weekly Sophie video #8

Here is Sophie's latest video. More apologies about the delay--we've had lots of visitors lately, including Grandpa Wilson and Grandma Himmel, Big Heather and Sarah, and Abbey and Vinit with Shalin and Sahil. And I turned in revisions on an article set to appear this October and have been working on another, too. But not to fear--there's more video to come soon, and this one is quite long. (I have had to start removing the old ones to free up space, but we can still get you a copy, and I'm working on a DVD of all of the videos, too.)

This video starts off with a nice surprise, then goes to a bit of Sophie just starting to wake up for a last feeding one evening, then to a bath, and finally to her sucking on her big toe--she's recently discovered her feet in a big way. Soon she'll really be grabbing them. She's started grabbing onto a few things, including Dirk the Diaper Monkey, but more with her arms than her hands. We're enjoying watching her grow and develop and will miss her an awful lot when she has to start in at daycare on Monday the 14th.
